== Why is this an issue?
Python has no pre/post increment/decrement operator. For instance, ``x{plus}{plus}`` and ``++x--++`` will fail to parse. More importantly, ``{plus}{plus}x`` and ``++--x++`` will do nothing. To increment a number, simply write ``++x += 1++``.
